Take Your Pick in Sensational Party Themes You Can Try
Have you ever considered having a party and coming up with the decors and embellishments yourself? For those with a good sense of creativity and artistic skills, having to do these themselves will not only bring joy to them but also as an avenue to showcase their sense of creativity. Hiring pros to do the job for you will not be easy on the wallet. Even pretty decors don’t come cheap. If you can do this yourself, you will not only save money but you will also experience a feeling of joy and accomplishment. If you don’t have time to prepare for the party then you need to be making a trip down to the thrift shop. There, you can find party decors for cheaper prices and you can also buy in bulk to even more discounts.
If ever budget will not be a problem, search the Web for those online party sites that offer a range of party products and order from them. For sure there will be plenty of choices to choose from and they also offer discounts depending upon the total quantity of your order. There are also some decorations and party props (like backdrops, additional wall decors, lights and sound effects) that can be rented for a minimum fee. You can also hire a party host or party actors that could spice up the whole event and render further entertainment.
Establishing a certain theme for your party will help you choose the kind of decorations and props that you will incorporate in the party. If the party will be catering to children, wonderful themes normally include those that are taken form television shows and movies where they could easily relate to like Harry Potter, X-men, Spiderman, Dora the Explorer, Disney and Looney Tunes characters, Sesame Street, Spiderman, Pokémon and Pirates of the Caribbean (who could ever forget Captain Jack Sparrow?).
As for their counterparts, adults (and those young adults) can chose form the following exciting themes as stated below:
Disco Fever Theme Loud colors and music is the main must haves for this theme. You should also have a wide open space that can serve as the dance floor. A disco is incomplete without a glittery disco ball.
Circus Theme This theme would come to life with clowns and gypsies. Booth like cotton candy and kissing booth should be around too.
Tropical Theme (think of Hawaiian set up, coconut palms, flowery shirts and shorts, grass skirts, flower and shell garlands, refreshments serve on partially opened coconut fruits, a Caribbean backdrop complete with the depiction of sun, sea and sky)
Rock and Roll Theme Get inspired by rock and roll groups such as KISS and Scorpions. Motorcycles, boots and leather jackets are must haves.
Arabian Nights Theme Deserts, sands, full moon as well as camel and magic carpets are the essentials.
Royal-Inspired Theme (think of kings and queens, princes and princesses and other royal blooded men and women, crowns and scepters, jewels)
Safari theme There should be lots of trees and greens as well as wild animals depicted.
Sports Theme (think of jerseys and baseball caps for designs, bats and all kinds of sports balls, sports drinks that will serve as substitute for cocktails)
Time-inspired Themes (you may choose from the ’50s, ’60s, ’70s or ’80s and from there think of the stuffs that are associated with a particular period)
Hollywood Theme (think of the red carpet, flashy cameras, elegant clothing)
Ultramodern or Futuristic Theme (think of high technology attires and stuffs, you may also use glimpse of the galaxy or the universe or the Milky Way for the backdrop or wall designs)
Las Vegas Theme What more will depict Vegas than casinos? Should also have lots of lightings and even roulette.
Egyptian Theme Dress like the pharaoh, have hieroglyphics on the walls and even miniature sphinxes and pyramids.
Cultural-Inspired Theme It could be anything from Chinese New Year with dancing dragons, Deewali with lots of lights and even traditional Spanish festive.
You can go an extra mile by having party shots for the event. This way, your guest will be thrilled that they not only get to spend such a wonderful time but also have something to remind them of it years after. Party photo albums makes a great party favor.

Roll-up for the 13th Annual Palm Beach Festival
The 13th Annual Palm Beach International Film Festival is due to take place in April 2008 and organisers are hoping to attract even more stars and industry insiders than in previous years, including such international superstars as Anthony Hopkins, Faye Dunaway and Michael Caine.
During the week of April 10th to 17th scores of films will be showcased at the festival, drawing many leading movie actors to the town. Last year over 20,000 filmgoers attended the many events and even more enthusiasts are expected this year. In addition, the world’s movie press contingent will inevitably pack the town hot in pursuit of the stars’ and dreaming of an exclusive interview, or at least some gossip.
The Palm Beach International Film Festival (PBIFF) was the brainchild of Commissioner Burt Aaronson and local philanthropist George Elmore. Both had a vision of offering an exciting cultural experience for the Palm Beach area, and at the same time providing a tremendous fundraiser for local educational institutions.
To date the not-for-profit organisation has donated over $1million to the film and television programs of local schools, community colleges and universities in the form of grants and scholarships. There are currently in excess of 2,600 students enrolled on the programs in the Palm Beach area and they are all eligible for their work to be shown at the Student Showcase of Films; screened during festival week.
Since 2003 the PBIFF has included a competitive element in an effort to expand its international status. Awards are given in such categories as; Best Director, Best Picture, Best Actor and Best Short Film, and lifetime achievement awards to motion picture legends are also distributed at the Festival.
But the fundraising is not just limited to the week of the festival. In addition there is also a ‘Friends of the Film Festival’ group that operates all year round, arranging many social gatherings for residents of Palm Beach and Roca Baton at which funds are raised for the educational support element of the festival. Many of their events, such as special Thanksgiving, Halloween and Christmas Eve parties take place at a local bar, club or hotel in Palm Beach, and prove great places for attendees to network in addition to providing substantial funds to the PBIFF.
The 2008 PBIFF looks set to be the most successful yet, with organisers promising big names but staying tight-lipped about whom exactly they will be. But, regardless of which stars do turn up it looks to be a record-setting year in terms of overall attendees, which is good news for the schools and colleges that benefit from the fund raising.

Where the Sun King Takes Vacation
So where does the creator of some of the world’s most spectacular resort hotels head when it is his turn for some rest and relaxation? His options are clearly what dreams are made of from exclusive private island retreats in the Maldives to palatial resorts like the Atlantis Palm in Dubai. No doubt, I am referring to one of the most visionary themed resort hotel creators the world has seen the One & Only Sol Kerzner.
If you had picked any of a number of his magnificently created hotel properties that instantly come to mind, then you would have been very wrong. Sol Kerzner often chooses the quaint fishing village of Hout Bay as his private retreat where he is able to entertain his friends and guests. Set on a glorious piece of real estate at the foot of the Klein Leeukoppie or little lions head Mountain and bordering Sandy Bay, lies Sol Kerzner’s South African summer home. The property overlooks the refreshing turquoise waters of Hout Bay and the now world famous Chapman’s Peak drive with its spectacular mountain and sea vistas.
The obvious thing to do with such a wonderful piece of Hout Bay property is to share it as often as possible with your family and closest friends. Of course, for someone like Mr Kerzner, a tight friends and family only guest list easily runs into the hundreds. I am convinced that the innate allure of Hout Bay must also place considerable strain on event planners desperately trying to limit the quantity of willing revellers wishing to brush shoulders with Sol’s closest and remarkably prominent friends.
Understandably, it must be extremely difficult to cull guests from the list when, as was the case with his recent New Year’s party, it includes the likes of billionaire Sir Richard Branson and members of the Royal family. Granted, the budget of his New Year fireworks display was dwarfed by the opulent display witnessed at the opening of the Atlantis Palm but the Hout Bay spectacle, however, is enthusiastically anticipated annually by residents and visitors alike.
Now that Sol’s secret is out and Hout Bay has finally been exposed to the world for everyone to experience its charm and the gorgeous beauty of this seaside village, it may be time to pack your bags and experience the magnetism of this breathtaking village for yourself. Who knows, you may end up dining with someone very prominent.

Palm Beach is not just exclusive residential enclaves of millionaire’s winter beach houses, nor is it only about shopping for wildly expensive designer labels in exclusive boutiques. The region has a lot more to offer than just a peek at the lifestyles of the rich and famous.
The city is synonymous with world class beaches, great golf, tennis, boating and diving. There are more than 150 golf courses and over 1,100 tennis courts within the Palm Beach County precincts. Two golf courses that are open to the public are Palm Beach Public Golf Course on the island and Emerald Dunes Golf Course in West Palm Beach.
Palm Beach is a popular destination for scuba divers as they can reach the off shore reef using guide boats operating from the local marinas. As with nearly all Florida beach destinations, Palm Beach offers lots of opportunities for water sports such as sail boating, jet-skiing, kayaking, water skiing, para-sailing and fishing.
The luxury mansion commissioned by Henry Flagler (a railroads and oil baron) as a wedding present to his third wife is now the renowned Flagler Museum. The mansion, with 55 rooms all furnished with European antique pieces in a variety of themes and styles, is known as the “Taj Mahal of North America”. The mansion is set in magnificent grounds, the highlight of which is Mr. Flagler’s restored, private railroad car.
The Norton Museum of Art, first opened in 1941, is now world famous for its permanent collections and the quality of its traveling exhibitions. The display featured the art collections of Ralph and Elizabeth Norton and now houses a French collection that contains works by C?nne, Degas, Gauguin, Matisse, Monet, Picasso, Pissarro, and Renoir. The permanent exhibits also contain paintings by Warhol, Hopper, Pollock and O’Keefe.
A family favorite, especially for younger children, is Playmobil Fun Park with its replica castle and themed play areas such as a medieval village, a western town and a fantasy doll house.
Lion Country Safari contains over 1,300 animals that include elephants, ostriches, wildebeest, antelopes, chimpanzees, American bison, buffalo, flamingos and many other unusual species. The 500 acre animal preserve is divided into simulated geographical regions that range from the East African Serengeti to the American West.
The park has an un-caged environment for the animals and humans move through the park via motor vehicle following a viewing loop road. Other park attractions include an amusement park with a carousel, paddleboats, mini golf and a popular baby animal nursery. The park provides a great family day out.
The Lake Trail runs the length of The Island on the Intracoastal Waterway side and is a popular scenic biking route that offers views of some of the mansions and grounds as well as views of downtown West Palm Beach.

Review of Wyndham (formerly Fairfield) Orlando at Cypress Palms

We recently spent a week of our vacation owneship at the Cypress Palms Resort at Kissimmee, Florida. It was one of the best resorts we have visited in a long time. Besides being very close to EPCOT, Disney, Universal Studios and other parks, the resort itself was outstanding and well taken care of.
The rooms in the 2 bedroom villa we stayed in were large, larger than the rooms in some other nearby places we’ve stayed in before, and very well decorated (as noticed by my wife).
Resort staff was very nice and friendly with us. After checking in, they told us about some of the resort activities and on-site amenities. This was helpful for us in planning our vacation. They told us about the best restaurants, showed us around the resort and how to get to our condo. My wife really liked the bright colors the rooms were painted in and how they were decorated.
There is playground for the kids as well as the swimming pool which the kids loved after a tiring day in parks. The water was very warm - it almost felt like you were in a bath tub.
The resort is located right in the heart of the tourist center in Kissimmee, so you can do some shopping without having to mess with the busy Orlando traffic. You can easily find many places to eat within a walking distance from the resort - there are at least five restaurants within a short walking distance.
I was very surprised at how secure this resort was. The whole Cypress Palms resort was protected by a gated entrance and watched 24 hours by security guards. I often noticed the security van driving around the resort monitoring the resort security.
Overall, we loved our stay at this resort and we’ll definitely come back to stay there again in the future.

A Palm Springs Palm Desert Orange County California Litigation Attorneyâs Humorous View of How to Answer Deposition Questions Like a Politician
As any civil or trial litigation attorney knows, whether he practices in Palm Springs or Palm Desert, CA, San Diego, California, Orange County, CA, La Jolla, Del Mar, Laguna Beach, Newport Beach, Corona del Mar, Huntington Beach, Irvine, Santa Ana, Irvine, Ventura, Anaheim, Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo, Ontario, Rancho Cucamonga, Temecula, Riverside, San Bernardino, the Coachella Valley, La Quinta, Indio, Yucca Valley, or Joshua Tree, depositions can make or break a case. A good defense attorney can make even the calmest deponent nervous. And then there are some deponents who can drive a litigation lawyer nut.
Many times, clients want to know how to answer deposition questions. First of all, I tell my clients to answer truthfully. Then I advise clients not to watch how politicians answer questions. This is what can happen if a client ignores that advice.
“You said to the policeman investigating the scene of the accident that you weren’t wearing a seat belt yet today you state that you were wearing one,” the defense attorney stated to my client.
My client smiled sweetly at the news commentator, just like Sarah Palin did to Charles Gibson in her first television interview.
“Would you care to explain this discrepancy?” the attorney asked. The attorney had introduced himself as Charles Johnson.
“Well, Charlie, I believe everyone should wear seat belts when they are in a car.
“Okay, but can you explain why you told the police officer at the scene that you weren’t wearing a seat belt?”
My client smiled sweetly again, giving the attorney her best impression of a political candidate.
“Charles, I believe in a woman’s choice, however I feel even more strongly about the sanctity of life.”
“You’re not going to answer the question, is that what you’re saying?” the attorney asked, looking over his own eyeglasses.
“Well, I really think that there are much bigger issues to discuss,” the client answered, putting the attorney on the defensive.
“Don’t you think it’s important for us to know if what you say now is different from what you said earlier?”
My client looked directly at the attorney. “Charlie, I believe what is important here is that your client ran a red light.”
“Lets move on to the fact that you claim you never had a back injury before this accident.. How do you reconcile that with your treatment for back pain prior to this accident?”
“Charlie, as you know, you can have a visit to a doctor without it being for an injury. I have to say this type of questioning borders on being sexist.”
“Did you or didn’t you have treatment for a back condition prior to this accident?” the attorney said, raising his voice.
“It’s not what you go to for a doctor, it’s what the doctor does for you, Charles, and when you realize that women are different from men, you’ll learn that women doctors do things differently than male doctors.”
“You’re refusing to answer my questions.”
“I’ve answered all of your questions,” my client said.
“No,” the attorney said. “All you’ve done is give me stock answers to the questions you want me to give and not answer the questions I’m asking.” The opposing attorney turned to me and realized I hadn’t made a single objection.
“Please, ask me your question, and I’ll be as honest as I can.”
“Is it true that this has been your third accident this year and that each time you’ve been rear ended.”
My client smiled and the attorney asking the questions knew he would not be getting an answer to this one that he could use.
“I believe that God has a plan for each of us and sometimes he tests our resolve.”
“That’s your answer?” the attorney asked. “You might as well be speaking in tongues right now.”
“God has a plan for all of us, Charles, even for you,” my client said.
“If it’s to drive us nuts, it’s working,” the attorney said. “I’ll give you one last chance to answer a question. Did you cause this accident?”
“Charles, what may be interpreted as a cause could sometimes be otherwise viewed as simply trying to avoid the, you know, impossibly difficult or, trying to prevent that kind of thing, then again, even when you are driving carefully, these accidents…and this could be viewed as one of those situations. Does that answer your question?”
Two hours later when the deposition had ended, the attorney was looking frazzled.
“How did I do?” my client asked me after the deposition was over.
I smiled sweetly like any good politician. “It’s not how well you did,” I said. “It’s how many psychiatric treatments that attorney is going to need before he is able to attempt another deposition.”
Note - Refusing to answer questions can lead to having a motion filed against the party who refuses to answer deposition questions, and an imposition of a fine against the deponent who abuses the discovery process in this way. Sadly, many deponents and attorneys abuse the deposition process when they think the other party’s attorney won’t take the time to file a motion to compel. An attempt to evade questions as a politician often does, or answering with stock answers instead of providing answers responsive to the questions is clearly improper. And politicians who answer questions in this manner are not setting a good example. On the other hand, some of Sarah Palin’s answers to questions put to her by Katie Couric, similar to this deponent’s last answer, were so incomprehensible it is hard to know how a judge might view answers such as hers if the attorney fails to follow up with additional questions.
